Why do tourists need guides?

 

In some ways, we are like tourists exploring life and the world. Nobody owns the place, but there always seem to be those who have been here a little longer before when we came, and may have gone the path we choose one or more times.

 

They don't have to control our individual experiences while we go on the tour, but they can tell us about the twists and turns on the road, and give us background information about where we are going. The least we can do is ask them.

 

Experience is said to be the best teacher, but it must not be ours. Leveraging on the experience of others can help hasten up our own process and give us a smoother journey than they had; though we must still meet some bumps.

 

Don't go on this tour alone. You need a guide (mentor), or more, if you don't have one already.
