RisingSun: Keep Your Eyes On The Prize
When faced with the mountain, do not consider its toughness or the difficulty of the journey to the top; rather think of the height, the pleasure of being at the top, and how much you’d like it. Thinking about the cost of the journey will make you afraid, but thinking of the prize will boost your courage, stir up zeal, and push you on.
Always telling yourself how difficult a thing is will make you not attempt it and never achieve anything. But when you keep reminding yourself of what you stand to gain at the end of the journey, and how much you really desire it, you will realise that difficulties are not enough to keep you away. The task may be difficult, but the joy and fulfilment it brings will soothe the struggles and pain you suffered.
When discouraged or weak, keep your eyes focused on the prize.
